Political activities in Kosofe are beginning to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections, with former Secretary to the Local Government, Mrs. Adejumoke Animawun, quietly commencing consultations.
Reliable sources within the All Progressives Congress (APC) confirmed that Animawun, who also serves as Assistant Secretary of the party’s Lagos State chapter, has begun reaching out to key stakeholders as she prepares to contest for the Kosofe Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
A businesswoman and former Sole Administrator of Kosofe Local Government, Animawun is regarded as a strong female voice in the constituency’s politics. Though much of her political profile remains outside public view, she has been a notable player in the local political landscape for over a decade.

With her discreet consultations now coming to light, analysts believe the race for Kosofe Constituency I will soon intensify, as both APC aspirants and opposition candidates are expected to make their ambitions known in the weeks ahead.
