As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, voices from across the country have poured in with messages of hope, unity, and renewed commitment to national development.
Omoba Awofeso Rasheed urged leaders to “galvanise projects and programs that can bring unprecedented growth and development to the country,” expressing optimism that “Nigeria shall be great again.”
In Lagos, the Ta’awun Humanitarian Forum (THF) announced plans to commemorate October 1st with free education initiatives, empowerment programs, security services, and community mobilisation. The event, scheduled to hold at Emmanuel Primary School, reflects what THF President Taiwo Lasisi described as a determination “to inspire progress despite socio-political challenges.”

For brand and image strategist Lanre Aborisade, Nigeria at 65 is a reminder of resilience and shared responsibility. “Despite challenges, our nation’s spirit endures, driven by the courage of its people. This milestone should inspire unity, accountability, and innovation. Together, we must shape a future where justice, peace, and prosperity define Nigeria’s global image,” he stated.
In the same spirit, KosofePost.com has launched the “Nigeria @ 65 – Have Your Say!” campaign, inviting citizens to share their reflections in 50 words for possible publication, amplifying the voices of everyday Nigerians in shaping the independence conversation.
