A report published by KosofePost, a leading online newspaper, has been referenced in a legal proceeding before the Lagos State High Court, further establishing the platform’s credibility as a reliable source of verified information.
According to a certified true copy of the court filing sighted by KosofePost, Hon. Ganiyu Oyebanjo, former Special Adviser on Boundary Matters to the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, cited one of the newspaper’s reports in his defence against a defamation suit instituted by Oloye Seun Salami.

In the Statement of Defence dated October 2, 2025, and filed before the Ikeja Judicial Division under Suit No: ID/ADR/3352/25, Oyebanjo urged the court to dismiss the case, referencing a KosofePost publication dated September 5, 2025.
The cited report, titled “Kosofe Legislative Crisis: Social Commentator Seun Salami Apologises for Past Role”, was used to argue that the claimant, Seun Salami, is not a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), but rather a social commentator.
The development highlights KosofePost’s growing reputation as an authoritative source of community-based journalism and trusted documentation of public affairs within and beyond the Kosofe area.
