The mother of Hon. Femi Oyesile, Councillor representing Ward C and Leader of the 8th Legislative Arm of Kosofe Local Government, Mrs. Modupe A. Oyesile, has passed away after a brief illness.
Her death, at the age of 98, was officially announced by the Oyesile family on Monday, October 20, 2025.
According to information gathered by KosofePost, Hon. Oyesile had made concerted efforts in recent weeks to sustain his mother’s health before her peaceful transition.
In a public statement, the family described the late matriarch as a devout Christian who lived a life dedicated to service, compassion, and faith.
“With deep sorrow and heartfelt regret, we announce the passing of Mama Modupe A. Oyesile, the beloved mother of Hon. Femi Oyesile, Councillor representing Ward C and Leader of the 8th Legislative Arm, Kosofe Local Government. Mama Oyesile transitioned to eternal rest at the graceful age of 98 years, after a life well spent in service to God and humanity,” the statement read.
The family noted that funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
