A resident of Kosofe Local Government Area, Mr. Lanre Aborisade, has petitioned security authorities over an alleged death threat from Mr. Moses Adekoya, an aide to the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Moyosore Ogunlewe.

In a petition dated November 1, 2025, Aborisade alleged that Adekoya called him at about 7:30 a.m. on the same day, issuing direct death threats and warning that “they are coming for him.” He claimed Adekoya advised him to “go and get bodyguards,” suggesting that the threat was connected to the Ogunlewe-led administration.

Describing the incident as “a serious threat to my life,” Aborisade said the call had caused fear for his safety and that of his family. He alleged that the intimidation was politically motivated and aimed at silencing him over undisclosed issues related to the local administration.

The Kosofe resident appealed to the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies to urgently investigate the matter and ensure his protection.

“I humbly request an immediate investigation into this threat, protection for my life and safety, and that Mr. Moses Adekoya and all persons connected to this threat be invited for questioning to prevent any possible harm,” the petition read in part.

Aborisade further stated that if any harm befell him, the administration of Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe should be held responsible.

He expressed confidence in the Nigerian Police Force and the general public to ensure justice and safeguard citizens against politically motivated threats and intimidation.
