The Ogun State High Court has nullified the suspension and impeachment of the Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Hon. Wale Adedayo.
Reacting to the judgment, Adedayo expressed gratitude to God and thanked friends and supporters who stood by him throughout the legal battle, describing the ruling as a victory for truth and justice.
Adedayo, who was earlier suspended and later impeached by the local legislative council, challenged the actions in court, maintaining that due process was not followed.
With the court’s decision, he has now been reinstated as the substantive Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government. The ruling has generated widespread reactions within Ogun State’s political landscape, with many describing it as a strong affirmation of judicial independence in local governance.
