Family members, friends, associates and widows will gather on Sunday, January 11, 2026, for the Fidau prayer of Late Waliat Adetoun Edu (née Adekoya) in Oworosoki, Lagos.
The Islamic prayer, organised by her family, will take place at 13, Idera Street, Oworosoki, Lagos, and is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. The gathering will serve as a moment of solemn reflection and supplication, as loved ones seek Allah’s mercy for her soul.
Waliat Adetoun Edu was born on June 15, 1970, and passed away on January 4, 2026. Her death has attracted an outpouring of condolences from relatives, friends and community members who remember her for her humility, deep faith and compassion.
In a statement issued on behalf of the family, Fasasi Edu, the family announcer, invited well-wishers to attend the Fidau prayer to honour her memory and join in prayers for her eternal rest.
The family also prayed that Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants her Al-Jannah Firdaus and comforts all those she left behind.
