The Ta’awun Kosofe/Ikeja Local Governments, Lagos, a non-governmental organisation, has announced plans to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a special event scheduled to hold in Ojota, Lagos.

In a letter of invitation dated February 26, 2025, and jointly signed by the General Secretary, Adigun Semiu, and the President, Yusuf Taiwo Lasisi, the organisation invited distinguished personalities to grace the occasion in various honorary capacities, including Father of the Day, Mother of the Day, Special Guest, Patron, and Matron.

The programme, tagged “Ta’awun @ 10, Kosofe/Ikeja LGs, Lagos,” will centre on the theme, “Behind Ta’awun @ 10.” According to the organisers, the event is designed to reflect on the organisation’s journey, impact, and contributions over the past decade.

The anniversary celebration is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 26 Aina Street, NIA Nursery/Primary School, Ojota, Lagos, and will commence at 3:00 p.m.

The leadership of the organisation noted that the presence and support of invited guests would be highly appreciated as Ta’awun commemorates ten years of community service and humanitarian engagement across Kosofe and Ikeja local government areas.

Ta’awun Kosofe/Ikeja has implemented several community-driven humanitarian initiatives in Lagos State, particularly in the areas of social welfare and grassroots development.
