A public complaint circulating online has drawn attention to an alleged accident involving equipment said to belong to JRB Construction Company, with the victim claiming he sustained severe injuries following the incident.

The complaint, accompanied by a video clip and text, was brought to public attention by Biodun Ogunsowo, who alleged that he suffered life-altering injuries due to negligence during a road construction project.

According to a statement made available to KosofePost, the incident reportedly occurred on July 25, 2025, along the Offin–Oreta Road corridor.

Mr. Ogunsowo alleged that a mixer machine being transported on a company vehicle fell from the moving truck due to inadequate safety precautions and struck him.

He claimed the impact caused serious injuries, including fractures to his left leg and left arm, which he said have resulted in permanent disability.

Allegation of Failed Settlement

The victim further alleged that the incident was initially reported at a nearby police station. However, representatives of the construction company and an individual identified as Mr. Shobo, said to be associated with the Icare Foundation, reportedly intervened and appealed for an out-of-court settlement.

According to Mr. Ogunsowo, the parties allegedly assured him that the company would assume responsibility for his medical treatment and care.

He, however, claimed that since November 2025 he has been abandoned at the Ogun State Teaching Hospital Sagamu, without the promised support, despite repeated efforts to contact the company and site management.

Request for Company Response

In the interest of fairness, balance, and responsible journalism, the publisher of KosofePost contacted JRB Construction Company to obtain its official response to the allegations.

The publication requested clarification on whether the company is aware of the incident allegedly recorded on July 25, 2025, along the Offin–Oreta Road project, whether the vehicle and mixer machine involved belong to the company, and whether any engagements or agreements were made with the victim regarding medical care or compensation.

KosofePost also sought the company’s position on the allegation that the victim has been abandoned since November 2025.

However, as of the time of filing this report, JRB Construction Company had yet to respond to the viral video and the inquiries sent by the publication.
