A social media exchange involving former Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Chairman, Dele Oshinowo, has triggered conversations online amid growing interest in the 2027 race for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat.
The discussion, which gained traction on the Lagos Junction platform, featured mixed reactions from supporters and critics. While some commenters praised Oshinowo’s leadership record and grassroots appeal, others raised concerns over issues linked to his time in office.
In a now-deleted comment, a user identified as Aloma—reportedly related to the incumbent lawmaker, Kafilat Adetola Ogbara—criticised Oshinowo, referencing alleged grievances tied to the Owode-Onirin area. The comment suggested that residents might confront the former council chairman over claims relating to demolished offices and properties.
The remark drew swift reactions from other users, with some defending Oshinowo and insisting that the electorate would ultimately determine his political future. Oshinowo himself, alongside another commentator identified as Tosin Ogundipe, was reported to have responded before the comment was deleted.
The exchange underscores the rising political tension and heightened public scrutiny surrounding the anticipated contest for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat, as stakeholders and residents continue to engage in debates over potential candidates.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from Oshinowo or representatives of Ogbara addressing the incident.
