Osobu bows to party supremacy, step down for Mayor Dele Oshinowo

Former Secretary to Local Government of Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, and Chairmanship aspirant, Gbenga Osobu has now succumbed and submerged by All Progressives Congress supremacy as he withdraws from chairmanship race and endorsed Mayor Dele Oshinowo.

Osobu disclosed his decision to step down from the race through a statement made available to the Kosofe Post on Monday Morning.

According to the statement titled “APPRECIATION (STATE OF AFFAIRS ON MY ASPIRATION)” partly reads, ” Not many people are blessed with quality allies and associates like you. You have shown me love, you have challenged me to keep doing good, your unprecedented commitment to my lifting is legendary. It is my prayer that God bless you commensurately in all of your undertakings”.

“However, after marathon consultations, pleas, and persuasions over the lasts few days, I have been compelled to as a price for my imminent soon to be rising, step down for the incumbent Mayor Dele Oshinowo to return as Chairman of our LCDA.”

“This is not an act of cowardice nor unpreparedness to lead. I am bowing to the supremacy of the leadership of our great party. I urge you all to extend same support to my brother, the Chairman Mayor Dele Oshinowo is clinching the ticket and subsequently win at the poll, Osobu stated.
