Magodo Cultural Festival is all about celebrating our Cultural Heritage with the theme “Our Unity, Our Strength”.
This years Chief host include Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, Mayoressof ikosi isheri LCDA with Oba Samuel Alamu Kehinde Oloyede, Onikosi of ikosi Land Kosofe Kingdom as the Royal Father of the day.
There will be a contemporary roadshow carnival, pageantry, with over hundreds of beautifully dressed dancers, cultural dance troupes with masquerade, A-list Hip Hop and Afro Juju artist performance, children games section among others.
Consumers Top Brands, organisers of the festival have equally negotiated with big time vendors to sell their product at a very reduced discount rate.
While speaking to the media at the press conference held on Monday May 10, at Magodo, lagos, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area Mayoress Samiat Bada assured residents of glamorous event.
Her words , ” It’s going to be marvelous and loud. I, Mayoress I have never lay my hands on anything without recording a huge success”.
“It’s when you come around that you can see what we have planned, She stated.
“We are celebrating history, and promoting tourism. We are coming together to show unity is our strength and be proud of our culture.”
The event encompassing all tribes and languages. it will be held both Online and physical with Covid-19 compliance and protocols according to Bada’s.
The Managing Director of Consumers Top Brands and organizer of Ikosi Isheri Magodo Cultural Festival, Mrs. Modupe Oyewole, said the event is geared towards promoting tourism corporate and showcasing Cultural Heritage among others.
“Ikosi Isheri Magodo Cultural Festival is to promote tourism in Lagos State which is one of the Themes agenda of Governor’s Babajide Sanwoolu led administration.”
“We bring in traffic into tourism by creating cultural activities that will bring people in that area. For 3 days now, We have people coming into Ikosi Isheri for this festival for Thursday and Friday.”
Visitors outside Lagos State have arrived and all available hotels are fully booked in promoting tourism according to the organizer.
Modupe expressed her profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, Samiat Bada for making this years festival a huge success. She added, it’s a free event also sponsored by Lagos State Government Ministry of Art and Tourism.
She urged the general public to attend to enable them know more about their neighbors, tourism, cultural heritage among others.
