Comrade Abiodun Lasiru Ogungbo, a former APC chairmanship aspirant for Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the 2025 local government elections, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Kosofe to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ogungbo urged party members and supporters to unite behind the APC candidates for the House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly, expressing confidence in their ability to secure victory at the polls.

He congratulated Mayor Dele Oshinowo on his emergence as the APC candidate for the Kosofe Federal Constituency, alongside Hon. Babatunde Sanni (Okla) and Dr. Seriki Murtala, who emerged as the party’s candidates for Kosofe Constituencies I and II in the Lagos State House of Assembly elections.

According to Ogungbo, the widespread support for Oshinowo reflects public confidence earned during his eight-year tenure as Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

He also praised Sanni’s legislative performance and grassroots engagement, while commending Murtala’s longstanding contribution to youth leadership, particularly his service as the Lagos State APC Youth Leader.

“We have the numbers and the structure in larger Kosofe, but we must return to our wards and work. 2027 is around the corner, and President Bola Tinubu, Dr. Kadri Hamzat, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, Hon. Babatunde Sanni, and Dr. Seriki Murtala deserve our total support,” Ogungbo said.

He stressed that effective grassroots mobilisation would be critical to the party’s success in the elections, urging supporters to begin engaging communities across the constituency.

Ogungbo further argued that Kosofe requires representatives at both the federal and state levels with strong economic management skills to address unemployment, poverty, and youth restiveness.

He said experienced and reform-oriented leaders would be better positioned to drive policies that stimulate economic growth and improve the welfare of residents.

The APC chieftain also commended President Bola Tinubu for what he described as the achievements of his administration and encouraged Nigerians to continue supporting the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
