The All Progressives Congress (APC) held its local government congresses across the country amid rivalry, sharp division, and bickering among contending parties.

Although the exercise was largely peaceful in some wards where the election was conducted, parallel congresses still held sway in many other wards.

In Anthony Village, Mende, Maryland “Ward C,” Alhaji Ibrahim Seidu, Lucy Ajayi, Ibrahim Mustapha, Hakeem Oshigirin, and one other emerged as delegates in the Congress.

In Ward F, Alhaji Bankole, Omonwale Adedeji, Adejoke Tabiti, Adeyanju Richard, and other females emerged as winners in the congress conducted by the Ward Chairman and Ward Secretary respectively.

Councilor representing ward F, Adedeji Oshinowo, who arrived at the venue shortly after the peaceful exercise was conducted, said Congress has not been held while briefing party members, police, and journalists, respectively.

He explained further that IKosi Isheri Lcda Chairman, Samiat Bada, party officials and INEC will be present to observe the exercise.

As of 3:00 p.m., party officials and INEC had yet to arrive at the venue where both contending parties would converge.

According to sources, Ikosi Isheri Lcda Chairman, Mayoress Samiat Bada and others later assembled at the party secretariat in Ekiti to conduct another congress.

The 8 remaining wards in Kosofe Federal Constituency witnessed similar scenarios to those observed at Anthony Village, Mende Maryland “Ward C” and IKosi Ketu “Ward F”, respectively.
