APC Postpones Primary Election of House Of Assembly in Kosofe

The All Progressives Congress in Lagos State has postponed their primary elections for the Kosofe Constituency 1 House of Assembly till Friday, May 27, 2022.

The three contestants, Honourable Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon, Lanre Carew, and Gabriel Oluwafemi, were all at the venue. In addition, 20 delegates will vote in the party’s primary election.

The supporters of contestants thronged the Mende, Maryland venue of the exercise in solidarity with their candidates.

The reason behind the postponement was the absence of party officials and the accreditation of delegates had not yet been commenced as at 4:45 P.M.

Despite the tension soking the exercise venue surroundings, no violence was recorded as a combined team of security officers and local security outfit, Madanwo, provided maximum security.

The KosofePost reported earlier that the House of Representatives election scheduled for Friday would now take place on the same day as a rescheduled State House of Assembly primary for the winners to emerge.
