• Receives award as ‘Best Performing Chairman’ in Lagos State
• Donates cash to motherless home
It was a cheerful atmosphere today as the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Dele Oshinowo celebrated his birthday in grand style.
The celebration as expected was completely loaded with beehive of activities.
Arriving the council headquarters, the chairman was welcomed by political office-holders and staff amidst pomp and pageantry.
Hosting the top echelon of the local council to a splendid get together, the council boss was flooded with lots of goodwill messages emanating from his exemplary leadership style.
Leading the goodwill message, the All Progressives Congress helmsman in the local council, who doubles as Supervisor for Agriculture and Social Services, Hon. Sunday Odekomaya commended the chairman for institutionalizing politics of inclusion as hallmark of his administration.
He adumbrated that in several cases the chairman has proven his mettle that he is a man who believes in the spirit of togetherness for accelerated development.
“In politics, it is rare to see a leader that will accommodate everyone to form a cell of unity, we have experienced actions of several governments but this one is unique”
“The Mayor Dele Oshinowo led-administration has brought serenity to grassroots administration, as every lips in the local council can recite the name of the council boss off hand, this is completely different from the past”
Also sharing his moment with the council boss, the Head of Department, Education, Mrs F.O Sanni saluted the chairman for providing conducive environment for working activities.
“Before arrival of the chairman, most workers here in the local council were dissatisfied with the working condition, but with his coming, everyone in the local council can attest to the numerous developmental projects”
In another development, a media organization, Kosofe Post honored the council chairman for his administration’s open door policy and infrastructural revolution.
In his appreciation, an elated chairman dedicated the award to the good people of the local council.
He said ” This award is dedicated to the good people of the local council,as the support received from them is heartwarming, hence, we are committed to do more and work beyond imagination for the populace”

To end the day’s activity, the chairman alongside top government officials visited the Treasure of Love Motherless Babies Home, Alapere to share moments with the less-privileged.
As part of his social responsibility drive towards the society, he donated cash to the motherless home to help in promoting the welfare and well being of the less-privileged children.
He further called on well-meaning residents of the local council to always extend to the poor through cash or material donations in order to give the children sense of belonging.
