The General Secretary of the Child Protection Network Lagos Chapter, Alhaji Rasheed Ololade Awofeso, hosted firdau prayers and a final burial ceremony for the late mom in style on Sunday.
The KosofePost reports that Alhaja Silifat Abeke died at the age of 95 on June 7, and she has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
The ChiefImam of Ijokun Central Mosque, Alhaji Harun Abiye Aleem, led other clergy for the prayers section held at St. Paul Primary School, Ijokun Sagamu area of Ogun state.
The dignitaries who attended the event in Ogun’s Sagamu area included a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ajeromi Ifelodun Constituency 1; Hon. Lukmon Olumoh, Lagos State Audit Board member; Hon Jimoh Akanbi Ibrahim, Sagamu Local Government Vice Chairman, Close circuit club of Nigeria, and Alhaji Lateef Akinborode ,state deputy coordinator of Child Protection Network, Lagos.
Other guests include the Imam of Kosofe, Abdulrahman Obasa, the Kosofe Community Development Committee and Executives led by Hon. Adesegun Babatunde, the O.S.O CDA Anthony Village and Executives led by Mr. Olalekan Oshijirin.
