The Lagos State Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Support Group (TSSG) , Hon. Seyi Odufowokan, has celebrated Nwachukwu Goodness for making the country proud during the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK.
Odufowokan, who doubles as Ikosi-isheri LCDA APC Chairman, made this known in a statement made available to this medium on Wednesday after Goodness paid him a courtesy visit.
He applauded the Kosofe Federal Constituency-based Nigerian Para-athlete for making Kosofe, Lagos and Nigeria proud in the comity of nations by setting a world record with her throw of 36.56m.
In his words, he said, “Nwachukwu Goodness, the Nigerian Para-athlete who won a gold medal at the just concluded Commonwealth Games, did put on a show for the spectators at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, breaking not just one, but two world records in quick succession to dominate her event at the Games.”
Nwachukwu Goodness claimed a gold medal for Nigeria in the women’s E42.44/61.64 discus throw at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom, putting down a commanding performance that set her apart from the rest of the field.
In the process, Nwachukwu also set a new world record with her throw of 36.56m.
