The Olu of Agboyi HRM Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega Akinmasa1, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu Oba Kabiru Shotobi on Saturday drums support for All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babajide Sanwoolu as governors of Lagos.
Oba Oladega commended the APC-led government in the state and said he’s a beneficiary of progressives’ drive while delivering his welcome address during his 2nd coronation anniversary.
The monarch urges residents to cast their vote for Bola Tinubu, Babajide Sanwoolu, Tokunbo Abiru, Kafilat Ogbara, Kosofe Federal Constituency, House of Representatives Member Femi Saheed, and Sanni Ganiu Babatunde, as members of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The event later turned out to be a venue for traditional leaders across the state, as they openly declared their support and canvassed for Tinubu’s presidential bid.
Ayangburen, who spoke on behalf of the traditional leaders, prayed for the long reign of the celebrant, the Olu of Agboyi.
The monarch noted that the politicians should be in attendance. He, however, was quick to add that they were carrying out assignments entrusted to them by the people.
“Surulere area is no going place because they are flagging off Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign in Lagos State. That is what we want,” the monarch said.
The monarch further stated that the only way the people of Agboyi can reciprocate the APC-LED government gesture that brought today’s celebration was to vote for APC candidates. He urged the sons, daughters, and residents of Agboyi and environs to do just that.
The monarch, while exchanging banter with Awori traditional leaders, said the Ijebu votes across the state will be more massive than the combined ones of the Awori.
Reacting on behalf of Awori traditional leaders Oba elewu, who believes that over 90% of the local government lands in the state belong to the Awori, all the Awori’s votes will be more massive than that of the Ijebu votes from the Ikorodu and Epe areas of Lagos.
