PROBE: Residents Awaits Public Account Committee Report on Ikosi Isheri Chairman, Samiat Bada

The residents at Ikosi Isheri local government awaits the public account committee report carried out by Lagos State House on the viral probing of the Executive Chairman of  Ikosi Isheri Lcda Chairman, Samiat Bada.

The investigative committee was set up by the state assembly to probe and make the appropriate recommendations following the allegations of office abuse, misapropriation of Public funds levelled by the leadership of Ikosi Isheri Lcda Legislative Arm against Samiat.

The letter written to Polaris Bank Branch  CMD, Magodo by the leader of the House, Usman urging the financial Institution not honour further transactions from Ikosi Isheri Lcda was nullify by the committee because he lacks constitutional power to issue such according to Kosofe Post sources.

This was revealed on Wednesday when the committee met.

The purported letter of the leader drew the anger of 4 lawmakers, who claimed Usman and two others took unilateral decision without due process.

This lead to the suspension of the Leader of the House, Usman Ajibola Akanni and his Deputy, Folashade Akinpelu.

Earlier, in  a separate chat with the suspended lawmakers both declare their suspension null, void and illegal of no effect whatsoever when contacted.

Usman responding said “Capital no, We have been summoned to Assembly today.”

The Public Account Committee probing Samiat Bada led administration alleged  infractions, however, declared the suspension of the two leaders as illegal as the four lawmakers fail short of quorum to do so.

While Polaris Bank are free to transact business with kosi Isheri, the duo of Usman, Folashade still maintained their respective positions.

Meanwhile the people of Ikosi Isheri area of Kosofe, Lagos awaits the final report of the Investigative committee probing the controversial Chairman Samiat Bada.
