Hon. Sina Bilesanmi, the National President of the Association of Telephone, Cable TV and Internet Subscribers of Nigeria (ATCIS), has congratulated President-elect Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 71st birthday, which falls on March 29th.
Bilesanmi issued a statement on behalf of the over 223 million telecom subscribers across Nigeria’s 36 states, lauding Tinubu’s political leadership and contributions to the country.
Bilesanmi commended Tinubu’s political pedigree, noting his active role in party politics, election as Governor of Lagos State, and diligent involvement in the structure of leadership for many years.
He expressed confidence that Tinubu’s leadership skills would be an asset for good and effective governance, and stated that his emergence as President-elect was a reward for his hard work and contributions to the country.
Bilesanmi also praised Tinubu’s recent clarion call for healing and reconciliation, which he said exemplified his magnanimity of spirit and love for peace.
He added that the President-elect’s reconciliation efforts reflected an unbending belief that every Nigerian, regardless of their political persuasion, had a role to play in the unity and progress of the country.
ATCIS is an advocacy body for telecom subscribers in Nigeria, with a mission to promote love and peace among subscribers and network service providers. The organization endorses good products and services from network operators and service providers to its members, while providing a platform to advance the rights of telephone, cable TV, and internet subscribers throughout Nigeria.
Since its establishment in 2015, ATCIS has made significant progress in various reforms, with 290 successful achievements to date. The organization has received 20 awards from government agencies, corporate bodies, and international awards, including one from the World Leaders Telecom Conference in Spain. In recognition of its advocacy work, the conference approved that ATCIS-Nigeria be named ATCIS-Global.
As Nigeria celebrates the birthday of President-elect Tinubu, Bilesanmi and the ATCIS community wish him many more years in good health and happiness.
