The Christ Apostolic Church Chapter of Comfort, located in Eruwen, Ikorodu, Lagos, witnessed a joyous occasion on Sunday as Mrs. Oyediran Adewunmi, along with two others, was appointed as a Deaconess. The event, filled with soul-lifting songs, attracted a multitude of attendees including family, friends, neighbors, and church members.
In an interview with a reporter from Kosofe Post, Oyediran Oluwatosin Pelumi, the daughter of the newly appointed Deaconess, expressed her gratitude and thanked God for her mother’s life. “Since her inception, she has been wonderful and wholesome. She is a great woman and someone to look up to. You will appreciate God for giving you such a person as a mother,” she said with admiration.
Describing her mother as a septuagenarian, Oluwatosin highlighted her mother’s God-fearing nature and boundless energy. “My mother is 70 Plus, but seeing her, she is just an energetic woman. I thank God for her life and for being her daughter. I am proud to have her as a mother. I appreciate God for her,” Oluwatosin added.
Coinciding with the celebration of Mrs. Oyediran’s appointment as Deaconess, her eldest son, Bimbo Oyediran, also celebrated his birthday anniversary on the same day. He expressed his joy at the double celebration, saying, “We are celebrating her installation today, and today happened to be my birthday. It’s a double celebration. I am glad, I am happy. You can hear it in the tone of my voice. It’s a double celebration.”
Bimbo expressed gratitude for his good life, good health, and the blessings that have come their way. He offered prayers for God’s continuous strength and energy to serve Him.
When asked about his newly installed mother, Deacon Oyediran, he spoke fondly of her, saying, “She’s a good mom and a loving mother. Today, I prayed that God will continue to strengthen her, give her good health, and the energy to enjoy the labor she has put into raising her children. God should preserve her to enjoy the fruits of her labor. She is a good mom, mother, and one in a million.”
Deaconess Oyediran, whose first child’s birthday coincided with the event, expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God. She extended her heartfelt appreciation to the Oyediran family, pastors, and church groups for honoring her invitation and providing support throughout the memorable celebration.
