Residents of Agboyi Island in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA of Kosofe Constituency 2 were filled with glamour and amazement as a food and medical team led by Hon. Femi Saheed, the member representing Kosofe Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, arrived on the hard-to-reach island with loads of rice packs and medical equipment.
Hon. Femi Saheed personally oversaw the delivery of food and medical palliatives, ensuring they crossed Agboyi River and reached the people of the ancient island.
At the launching ceremony attended by representatives of the Olu of Agboyi, Oruba of Agboyi 2, chiefs, baales, and party leaders, Hon. Femi Saheed commended his constituents for their trust in the APC government and their resilience amidst economic challenges.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Femi Saheed delivered a message of renewed hope from President Bola Tinubu, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, assuring the residents that the nation is undergoing economic restructuring akin to what great nations like India, China, and America had experienced before achieving prosperity.
The Food and Medical Support Initiative launched by Hon. Femi Saheed aims to renew hope in the government and demonstrate his commitment to the welfare and well-being of his constituents.
The program provided rice packs, free medical checkups, consultations by medical experts, long-lasting insecticidal nets for pregnant women and nursing mothers, and deworming doses for children under 10.
Hon. Femi Saheed pledged to continue the exercise unabated, deploying vehicles and personnel to deliver food and medical palliatives to various communities in the constituency.
This initiative follows Hon. Femi Saheed’s recent provision of free JAMB forms to about 400 UTME candidates, underscoring his commitment to serving the people and improving their welfare.
