Ana Emmanuel, known as Gimbiya on TikTok, sparked controversy during a recent live stream on Honey2sofunny’s platform when she declared her intentions to retaliate against an abusive husband by beating his mother. The discussion, which was monitored by The KosofePost, centered around the causes of violence in relationships.
Gimbiya admitted that she might not be physically strong enough to fight her husband but vowed to visit his hometown and confront his mother as payback for his abuse.
In response to claims that women sometimes provoke men’s anger, Gimbiya dismissed the notion, stating, “Blaming women for your anger issues is wrong. If you’re a woman beater, you better tie your hands because this new generation of women won’t tolerate it. As for me, if you don’t want your mother beaten, don’t lay a hand on me.”
Other participants in the discussion criticized her approach, cautioning that violence is not the answer and warning that a marriage with someone like her would be doomed from the start.
They urged her to identify red flags before entering into a relationship, rather than resorting to violence, emphasizing that it is uncultured and unacceptable to harm a mother-in-law in retaliation.
