The Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC) has intensified its campaign for compassionate abortion policies within local communities. During an advocacy visit on Monday, October 21, to Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Kosofe, WARDC sought the support of the council’s chairman, Samiat Abolanle Bada.

The group is advocating for exceptions to the total ban on abortion, specifically in cases of rape and severe health risks.

WARDC emphasized the importance of practical reforms to protect women’s health and rights, calling on Bada to back their “Women Lives Matter” petition.

This movement aims to unite the community with the Pink Movement, pushing for the protection of women facing critical health situations.
