In a fresh bid to reshape Kosofe’s local governance, Apena, former Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has officially joined the 2025 Kosofe Local Government chairmanship race.

The longtime legislative advisor, who also serves as publisher of the Kosofe Reporter, shared his intentions in a recent interview with Kosofe Post publisher.

Apena’s candidacy has intensified the contest, as multiple aspirants are now pledging to deliver on promises of good governance, transparency, accountability, and probity.

As the race gains momentum, Kosofe’s political landscape sees growing engagement as contenders roll out publicity campaigns, consultation programs, and outreach efforts aimed at winning support from both kingmakers and the electorate.

The tenure of the current 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Area officials is set to expire in July 2025, adding urgency to aspirants’ campaigns as they vie to position themselves as the preferred choice for Kosofe’s leadership.
