Conference 57 Congratulates Mojisola Meranda on Historic Emergence as Lagos Assembly Speaker

The Conference 57 of Local Government and Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairmen in Lagos State has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda on her historic election as the first female Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

In a statement signed by Hon. Alabi Kolade David, Chairman, and Bldr. Olusesan Daini, PRO, the group described Meranda’s emergence as a reflection of her dedication, competence, and unwavering commitment to service. They further praised the milestone as a testament to Lagos State’s progressive ideals and inclusive governance ethos.

“As you assume this critical role as the head of the state legislature, we trust in your capacity to deliver robust legislative leadership that meets the expectations of Lagosians, fosters development, and upholds the principles of democracy,” the statement read.

The chairmen assured the new Speaker of their full support and collaboration, emphasizing the collective goal of sustaining Lagos State’s reputation as a beacon of good governance, innovation, and development in Nigeria.

On behalf of the grassroots leaders, the statement wished Meranda a tenure defined by impactful policies, collaborative governance, and visionary leadership, expressing confidence in her ability to leave an indelible mark on the Assembly and the state.
