The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, on Tuesday, commissioned the newly reconstructed Alabi Owoyemi Street in Ward B, Oworonsoki, signaling another step forward in the council’s ongoing infrastructure development agenda.

The project, which features a dual drainage system, was officially inaugurated by respected Islamic cleric and long-time resident of the area, Sheikh Robiu Abdul-Maleek Adebayo, popularly known as Baba Loworo.

In his remarks, Sheikh Adebayo commended Chairman Ogunlewe for what he described as a humble and selfless approach to leadership. Drawing parallels between Ogunlewe’s governance and that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the cleric noted that the council boss is building effectively on the developmental foundation laid by the President.

Residents of the community expressed their gratitude for the project, describing it as a long-overdue intervention that would ease movement, reduce flooding, and enhance the overall living conditions in the area.

The reconstruction of Alabi Owoyemi Street adds to a growing list of community-centered initiatives under the Ogunlewe administration, which has prioritized grassroots development and visible service delivery across Kosofe Local Government Area.
