Campaign posters promoting Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the incumbent Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), have surfaced across the community, signaling her intention to seek a third term in office ahead of the 2025 local government elections.

The posters, branded with the slogan “Continued Excellence 2025,” feature a smiling Princess Bada and prominently declare her ambition for a “Third Term,” with sponsorship attributed to a “Committee of Friends.” The visual campaign appears to mark the unofficial start of her re-election drive.

Bada, who is currently serving her second consecutive term, has drawn support from sections of the community for her track record in infrastructure development, social welfare initiatives, and efforts to improve local governance. Her supporters tout her tenure as one marked by continuity and visible impact.

However, her potential bid for a third term is likely to stir political debate around leadership succession and power rotation within the LCDA — a recurring issue in Lagos grassroots politics.

As the 2025 polls draw nearer, attention is expected to shift toward how her campaign strategy unfolds, the stance of political stakeholders, and the emergence of potential challengers.
