Kosofe Local Government has inaugurated the 8th Legislative Arm of its council, unveiling a new leadership team expected to deepen legislative engagement and drive inclusive development at the grassroots level.
At the inauguration ceremony, Hon. Femi Oyesile of Ward C (Ifako, Araromi, Soluyi, Gbagada) was elected as Leader of the House, marking a renewed focus on transparency, accountability, and proactive governance within the legislative arm.
The newly constituted leadership also includes:
Hon. Hakeem Oshinjinrin – Deputy Leader (Ward E, Mende)
Hon. Olamilekan Adebare – Majority Leader (Ward G, Ogudu)
Hon. Christiana Kuboye – Chief Whip (Ward A, Mosafejo, Oworonshoki)
The legislative council is set to work closely with the Executive arm, led by Hon. (Barr.) Moyosore Ogunlewe, to implement policies and projects aligned with the “New and Better Kosofe” agenda — a strategic vision for impactful governance and community transformation.
Officials emphasized the need for lawmakers to prioritize legislative oversight, maintain close engagement with constituents, and uphold the integrity of the council’s operations to ensure visible and sustainable development across all wards.
