As the world marks Teachers’ Day, tributes continue to pour in for educators whose tireless dedication shapes the minds and destinies of countless young learners.
Teachers play a vital role in nurturing future leaders, professionals, and innovators — guiding students with wisdom, patience, and passion. They are the silent architects behind the success of presidents, engineers, doctors, scientists, entrepreneurs, and artists who make remarkable contributions to society.
Reflecting on this year’s celebration, Engr. Bima Abdullahi Mohammed, a Deaf/Special Teacher at GRA Primary School, Inclusive Unit, Emmanuel High Street, Ojota, Lagos, expressed pride in his profession, describing teaching as “a calling that transforms lives.”
“Teachers inspire, educate, and mentor students, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to succeed,” he said. “I’m proud to be a special teacher making a difference.”
His message serves as a heartfelt reminder to appreciate the hard work and resilience of teachers everywhere — those who, against all odds, continue to build the foundation for a brighter and more inclusive future.
