Just hours after party stakeholders voiced discontent over the suspension of All Progressives Congress (APC) meetings in Kosofe Local Government Area, the local chapter has announced the immediate resumption of activities.
In an official statement signed by Alhaji Kehinde Bello, Kosofe APC Chairman, and Alhaji Nofiu S. Fatai, LGA Secretary, members were informed that the long-awaited LGA meeting will now hold on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Anthony Village Senior High School, Anthony, beginning at 4 p.m.
The statement further scheduled ward meetings for Monday, November 3, 2025, to hold simultaneously across all wards in the local government, also starting at 4 p.m.
According to the notice, the meetings will focus on “vital issues and directives from the State.”
The announcement followed public criticism from Engr. Olusola Emmanuel Adedayo, publisher of MoschinoBlog, who had condemned a reported directive from the APC state executive requiring local government chairmen to finance party meetings. Adedayo had described the arrangement as “preposterous,” arguing that it granted excessive influence to council chairmen over party affairs.
The prompt release of the new meeting schedule appears to be a strategic move to calm tensions among party members and restore unity within the Kosofe APC chapter after days of uncertainty and internal disagreement.
