LGA Congress: PDP members protest against Selection, insists on Primary election on October 5

Members of Kosofe Chapter of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) led a peaceful protest against selection of LGA Executives ahead of October 5 Congress.

The concerned PDP members stormed Ogudu GRA residence of the party Apex leader, Barrister Onikepo Oshodi on Sunday
where stakeholders meeting is been held to harmonize LGA Executives to present their demands.

The two former Deputy State Chairman of the party, Welly Hassan, and Ola Apena, former State Woman Leader, Deaconess M. B Odunsi, Outgoing Kosofe LGA Chairman, Former LGA Chairman, Dada Mufutau Babalola were in attendance.

Also, Southwest Zonal Secretary of PDP, Rahman Akanni Owokoniran (RAO), Onita Coker among other notable leaders.

The group urged the party leaders to ensure that level playing field is provided for all Party members and security to elect competent LGA Executives on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

Some of the playcards the PDP members carried inscriptions reads: ” Congress decided South West Executive, Congresss must decide LGA Congress. “We want LGA Congress.”
Another placards reads,”Mama Onikepo don’t support minority to rule over Majority” and “Mama Odunsi don’t accept Selection
Support Election.”
