An Open Letter To My Twins

My Precious Twins,

I am very sorry to disturb your peace at the other side of the world but I am just a restless soul, an impatient father who is so desperate for twins before his last day on earth.

As if haunted by an unseen spirit, chasing me from pillar to post, the quest for twins has “revolutionised” my thought process but still in search of a responsible mother to invite you into my world.

Don’t ever think I am an “eccentric” father because of my desperation but flow along with me for the sake of my sanity.

Ejire, I am on my knees begging you, rolling on the floor, even hailing you “Twale” like a frustrated Lagos area boy.
The ball is now in your court to make this dream a reality.

In a nutshell, I am an incurable optimist without any fragment of suspicion and will never give up in my quest to cuddle(and kiss!) my own biological twins before my last day on earth.

My late sweet mother(Iya Gani) predicted your arrival one day for me while still in Nigeria. Feel free to appear in my dreams, let’s play together. I love you from the deepest section of my heart.

Permit me to end this open letter with tears (of joy?) in my eyes. I know you’re also reading this letter from your heavenly arena.

As my usual catchphrase, plenty words no go full basket. I no go use all mouth talk today.

Twins, I love you, I will adequately look after you. Trust me 24 hours per day.

Your loving father,
Jagunmolu Dare Lasisi.
