In her bid to make clean and drinkable water available for the people of Arowosegbe Community, today, the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo cut the ribbon of a borehole fitted with state of the art equipment, built by Councillor Oluwatoyin Odegbesan.
Odegbesan is the present Councillor representing Ward ‘B’ at the Agboyi-Ketu Legislative Council.
Speaking at the epoch-making event, the Chairman posited that the borehole project undertaken in personal capacity of the female lawmaker has proven her love for the progress of her ward, adding that the people would always remember the name of the Councillor for good over the project.
Mayor Dele further commended the 5th Assembly Lawmakers of Agboyi-Ketu Legislative Council for surpassing the expectations of their constituents, stressing that members of the Legislative Council have shown the way for other councillors in Lagos State and beyond to emulate.
In her remarks, the initiator of the project, Oluwatoyin Odegbesan stated that the project was a Reflection of a dream come true, in her bid to touch the lives of her constituents in their search for clean and drinkable water.
“Since my assumption of office, I have promised my constituents that I will work to put smiles on their faces, and one of such ways to achieve this momentous desire is the provision of borehole for the good people of Arowosegbe Community”
Odegbesan further assured her constituents of more projects in the ward, urging every resident of the ward to take ownership of the borehole for proper maintenance, so that it would last long.
The program was decorated with the presence of Hon. Abiodun Akhigbe, Hon. Sunday Odekomaya, Hon. Folake Kayode, Hon. Toheeb Durosimi, Hon. Musiliu Sulaimon, Hon. Bashir Saheed amongst a host of others.
