Mr. Moyo Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, has started the registration process for the distribution of welfare packages in Kosofe.
The grassroots support effort is aimed at reducing poverty among the council area’s youths, women, and vulnerable citizens.
During the 2022 NULGE Worker Forum and Send forth Party held last week, Moyo told the media that beneficiaries will receive a ten thousand naira products voucher that will allow them to pick up items at approved retailers within the Council area.
He explained that Grassroots Support is about providing assistance to grassroots people.
During the registration exercise that began last weekend, members of the Community Development Committee, political leaders, youths, and women’s organizations praised the Council chairman for offering assistance to their communities as well as his continued development efforts.
