The question of who is funding the youngest contestant has sparked discussion among the top contenders.

Political consultation, meetings, rallies, local and international flights, empowerment, posters, banners, expressions of interest, and nomination forms for primary elections all cost well over 20 Million, not including traditional political brown envelopes for party delegates and other logistics.

Many allegedly said the former Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area and President of Remo Stars, Honourable Adekunle Soname, was the one bankrolling Cheche.

The allegation has since been denied by Soname’s aide, Councilior Adedeji Oshinowo, who said the muitibillionaire is not sponsoring any candidate.

Despite his disclaimer, Cheche’s campaign hard push has continued to be linked to the sports administrator.

And Cheche, along with incumbent lawmaker Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye, his predecessor, Dayo Bush, Remi Odunsi, Yetunde Arobieke, and Kafilat Ogbara, have picked their nomination forms and are undergoing screening this weekend ahead of the party primary election coming up in a few days.

Abiodun Owokoya is a tech guru and professional saxophonist who relocated from the USA to Nigeria about a year ago to achieve his dream.
