Agege Local Government Legislative Leader, Kola Anigbajumo has been impeached, on Tuesday following a vote of no confidence by 5 out of the 7 legislators (councillors) of the Legislative Council.
The councillors approved former Deputy Leader Joel Olabode Adigun as the new leader of the legislative council.

It was also recorded that the majority leader of the Agege local government legislative council, Adojobi Kabiru, was also impeached and replaced with Hassan Alla.
A panel have been set up to investigate the allegation of gross misconduct against the duo, as the council legislators inaugurate the newly elected.
Hon. Alla was said to have raised the motion for the impeachment while it was seconded by Hon. Alliu Nojeem Oluwatoyin.
Eyewitness on ground said that some suspected miscreants who was traced to be supporters of the former leader were seen around the Legislative complex, threatening to burn down the newly built building but were repelled by the security personnel.
