Adekitan Bamishe Kazeem Afolabi, born on February 22nd, 1964, into the esteemed family of Alhaji Yusuf and Alhaja Wulemot Afolabi, traces his roots to the historic Baba Oyo’s compound in Ibere Kodo, Igboora, within the Ibarapa kingdom of Oyo state, Southwest Nigeria. Afolabi’s journey from his humble beginnings to his current stature as a prominent figure in both professional and political spheres reflects a narrative of dedication, resilience, and service to his community.

Educationally, Afolabi’s path was marked by diligence and ambition. He attended Ansarudeen Primary School and Igboora High School, laying the foundation for his academic pursuits. Subsequently, he ventured into architecture at Ibadan Polytechnic, where he obtained an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) before ascending to the prestigious University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University. There, he excelled in Quantity Survey, graduating with honors and forging lifelong connections with individuals like Nigerian gaming tycoon Hon Kunle Soname and Kunle Akinyelure.

In his personal life, Afolabi is anchored by his marriage to Alhaja Folashade Mutiat Afolabi, a distinguished professional Nurse and current President of Lasuth Lion Club, Ikeja. Their union, blessed with three children, stands as a testament to Afolabi’s commitment to family values alongside his professional and political endeavors.

Professionally, Afolabi’s expertise as a Technocrat, Project Director, Property Manager & Consultant, and construction Guru has earned him acclaim and respect within his field. His reputation for humility, honesty, integrity, and selfless service underscores his standing as a role model and benefactor to many.

In the realm of politics, Afolabi’s journey began in 1998 with the formation of the Alliance for Democracy, where he pledged his commitment to serving his community. Over the years, he has held various leadership positions, including Assistant Secretary of Ayedere Zone and Pioneer Zonal Chairman of Ajibola Zone. His tenure as Executive Secretary of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area in 2015 further solidified his reputation as a dedicated and effective leader.

Beyond his professional and political engagements, Afolabi is defined by his devotion to Islam, democratic principles, and philanthropic spirit. His multifaceted identity as a loyal party man, team player, and cheerful giver reflects his unwavering dedication to the betterment of society.
