The top contender for Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, and Former APC Ikosi Isheri LGA Chairman, Honorable Loogun O. Sunday Jegede has declared that no consensus candidate has been adopted for the council ticket.
Speaking to the Kosofe Post over the report titled “Samiat Bada, Mukhaila Adisa emerges Chairman, Vice Chairman of ikosi
Isheri” Loogun said, “It’s untrue, how can she emerge without primary election”.He added that meeting was held but was inconclusive.
The aspirant said the consensus was not democratic as the majority of the contenders were neither consulted nor was there fairness in the choice of the proposed candidate.
Loogun said all contenders are ready to test their popularity at the congress in line with the democratic tenet on May 29.
He urged party members across seven wards in Ikosi Isheri to disregard any reports on any consensus candidate and enjoined them to come out with their membership cards enmasse next week Saturday to exercise their civil right without any fear or intimidation.
