Ikosi Isheri APC primaries disbanded over violence eruption

The Ikosi Isheri All Progressives Congress Party primary election that was held today for the party flag bearer for the councillorship seat was disbanded with violence as members were seen with dangerous weapons, and throwing dangerous objects at each other.

Reports had it that disgruntled party members disrupted the primary election over claims that a particular candidates is is gradually coasting home to victory during primary election across voting centres before it was disrupted.

Councillorship aspirant, Adeshile Ruka was beaten to faint by the supporters of one of her opponents. 

According to Kosofe Post correspondent the violence occurred across the seven (7) wards the election took place in Ikosi-Isheri area of Lagos.

It would be recalled that the Honourable Minister of State for Health, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, on the 15th of May, 2021, at a stakeholders engagement held at the CMD, Shangisha, enjoined aspirants to eschew violence, campaign of calumny and adopt a consensus candidate ahead of today’s primaries.
