Governor’s Advisory Council cut short Kosofe Local Government Legislative Arm, Chief Whip; Ibrahim Bakare Olawale, IBO, second term Councilorship bid in Kosofe.

GAC the highest decision making organ of the All Progresives Congress member include Otunba Bushira Alebiosu and Omoba Muyiwa Sosanya, who represent Kosofe Local Government at the Lagos State Apex level of the body.

IBO, others are the APC candidates for ifako Gbagada ‘Ward C’ Councilorship race. However, Ward C and Ward G area Election did not take place. Surprisingly, a candidate reported backed by GAC member, Omoba Sosanya name was announced without returning the half a million nomination form fee to disenfranchised constestants.

The Publisher of Kosofe Reporters, Olusegun Apena is also a victim of the alleged imposition. He wrote petitions and press releases to kick against the imposed candidates and called for fresh primary Election.

However, the time constraint may not permit any primary election to hold but to adopt Electoral appeal committe recommended consensus as provided for by the party’s constitution with emphasis on the participation of all concerned stakeholders in resolving various allegations of electoral fraud in the primaries.

The Appeal Committee, headed by Lawal Pedro, SAN, which sat for three weeks entertained 125 petitions arising from the primaries.

The committee admonished the party to be guided by the LASIEC timelines for the submission of names of candidates for the forthcoming local government elections.
