I resigned long before the election- Kosofe Vice Chairman, Prince Babatunde Saliu

Prince Babatunde Saliu, the newly sworn in Vice Chairman of Kosofe Local Government has told the Kosofe Post that he resigned his position before the recently concluded LG election.

Article 17(iv) of All Progresives Congress Constitution says’ No Officer in any organ of the party shall hold Executive Office in Government concurrently.” Also Chapter. Part 2. Section 183 of the 1999 constitution says”
The governor shall not, during the period when he holds office, hold any other executive office or paid employment in any capacity whatsoever.”

The Prince, the erstwhile Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to the executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu cleared the air on his alleged duo portfolio when contacted by this medium on Sunday.

Following the claims that he was still maintaining his previous position in the state without relinquishing it after he was sworn in while responding to KP, Babatunde, who did not disclosed his resignation letter insisted that he resigned,” I resigned long before the election,” Vice Chairman Kosofe LG, Prince Babatunde said.

PBA is one of the top Chairmanship constestant for Kosofe Local Government seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, who later emerged as vice Chairman to the incumbent Chairman, Hon. Moyo Ogunlewe.
