Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Barrister Moyo Ogunlewe, and House of Representatives member Prince Rotimi Agunsoye ,member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Babatunde Okanlawon has joined numerous residents to mourning the passing of the revered monarch in Kosofe Local Government area of Lagos State, the Oloworo of Oworo, who joined his ancestors
Oba elect of Gbagada, Anthony ,Mende Maryland, Hrm Oba Abeeb Adesina Faronbi, Abiodun Owokoya and several others also expressed their condolences to the bereaved Royal family.
The monarch reported died on August 30, in United Kingdom at age 72.
Moyo Ogunlewe who led delegation to Oloworo of Oworo palace afterwards wrote on his social media Facebook, “
I extend my deepest sympathies to the Family of His Royal Majesty (HRM), Oba Bashiru Oloruntoyin Saliu, Elebo 1 of Oworonsoki. He has played a Fatherly role to everyone of us at Kosofe Local Government Area and he will be Greatly missed.
“Oba Bashiru Oloruntoyin happened to be the Father of my Vice Chairman and he was like a Father to me too. He played positive roles in my emergence as the Chairman of the Local Government few months back and he was always available to give us his advice whenever such is needed.
“God will give the Family the fortitude to bear this great loss, Oba lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation. I’m convinced he would find a place in the right hand of God having lived a life of honour and commitment to mankind. I urge the people of the Kosofe Local Government Area to see the death of the Oba as an act of God, and his memories would continue to live with the people of Kosofe Local Government Area.”
The founder of Abbey Cheche foundation, Saxophonist; Abiodun Owokoya, Kosofe Regional Secretary of Lagos State Barber, Hairdresser Comestogy Association ( LAHBCA), Oluwatoyin Adelaja, Olu of Agboyi Kingdom, Hrm Oba Monsuru Oladega Abimbola Akinmsa1, Oba elect Hrm Oba Abeeb Adesina Faronbi, and several others also joined in mourning of the revered King.
Others include Kosofe League of Journalist, Social Commentator; Comrade Opomulero Olayiwola Sulyman, Penny Foundation, Complete Ride, Community and Child Protection Network (CCPN) Cheche foundation respectively.
