The introduction of the Face of LGs in Lagos pageant ‘FLAGS’ and Why?

The face of LGs in Lagos ‘FLAGS’ is an idea whose time and relevance has come.

In Lagos, there is a proliferation of slums. Social and infrastructure provided by government are over used. It is obvious the state is overwhelmed in many areas. Local government councils wear the same shoes.

Rather than keep complaining, it has become imperative for residents to find ways of initiating and executing projects and programmes that will complement government’s efforts and impact lives.

The FLAGS aims to do this. The winner of the pageant will draw attention to specific social or infrastructural deficit in communities and use her reign to explore ways of executing projects that will reduce or eradicate these deficits.

The ‘FLAGS’ winner will pay courtesy visits to companies and organisations with the aim of drawing attention to some of these challenges and encouraging them to help solve them through their cooperate social responsibility

The ‘FLAGS’ winner automatically becomes an ambassador for peace and part of her duties will be to criss Cross communities preaching and promoting peace and harmony.

The ‘FLAGS’ winner becomes a champion for promoting child education especially the girl child. The FLAGS winner will visit schools and hold interactive sessions with pupils on the importance and values of Education.

Fashion Show?

A mini fashion show tagged ‘ How public officers should dress to office’ will also hold.

This is simply to sensitise and encourage public officers to take seriously, the what they wear to work.

Major clothiers and fashion gurus are backing this project. Selected public officers drawn from different cadres will CAT WALK the run way demonstrating how colleaques should dress ro work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. It will be fun to see bosses on the run way.

We invite everyone to help make the event grand and memorable .
