The Office of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the Presidency, Abuja, has commenced the construction of a 30-bed Primary Health Centre in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
The PHC was actualized as a result of the working partnership between Office of the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA and the Distinguished Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Tokunbo Abiru located at Agboyi-Ketu Area Office, Ketu.
According to the Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, the construction of the health facility signals the commitment of government at all levels through his purpose-driven administration to collaborate in order to actualize the official wordings of the 3rd goal of the SDGS “Ensuring healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”
While extending the heartfelt appreciation of the good people of the locality to Her Excellency, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, for her foresightedness in ensuring the realization of the 2030 agenda of the SDGs in Nigeria, the chairman further posited that the PHC when completed will provide complete health care service for residents of the LCDA and beyond.
Mayor Dele Oshinowo further noted that the facility will reduce the burden on general hospitals.
Apart from this project, the Office of the Sustainable Development Goals through the established working partnership between Agboyi-Ketu LCDA and Senator Tokunbo Abiru is also constructing a block of three classrooms at Ajelogo Primary School.
