Mayor Dele Oshinowo commissions 500kva transformer donated by Agboyi-Ketu to Ojomo Community, Owode-Ajegunle

The usual chant of ‘Three Days On and One Day Off’ plaguing Ojomo Community in the Ward ‘G’ Area of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA has become a thing of the past, as the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo commissioned a 500Kva transformer donated by his administration to bid farewell to the load shedding cycle affecting the community.

It would be recalled that the Mayor Dele Oshinowo led-administration in the year 2019 procured five transformers, distributed to five communities in the LCDA, namely Agboyi 1 Community, Agboyi, Thomas Community, Ajegunle , Zion Community, Ajegunle Araromi Community, Ajelogo and Ojomo Community, Ajegunle.

Speaking at the program, the chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to promote economic activities in the locality through the introduction of life-changing projects that would be beneficial to the progress of humanity.

While asking for more support from residents of the community and beyond, the chairman hinted that his administration is working round the clock to ensure clean and drinkable water gets to communities in Owode-Ajegunle.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of Ojomo Community, Mr. Adebisi Adeniyi thanked the chairman for bringing economic hope to the community.

On his part, the representative of Ikeja Electric, Engr. Oyetunde Fatungase spurred residents of the community to take ownership of the project by protecting it against vandalization.

The high point of the occasion was the commissioning of the project by the Council’s Mayor amidst leaps of joy from residents of the community and a multitude of well-wishers.
