LNGA Hosts 4th leadership seminar for youths in Lagos tagged “Leadership, Development and Values”
The seminar was held at Genesis Hotel and suites, Ikeja last week.
LNGA News Managing Director ; Mr. Tunde Jakande noted that the seminar was conducted to provide insight and tools to Youths who are the future of Nigeria, Who will turn the country around if well equipped.
While addressing the participants at the 4th edition of the programme he noted that over 120 youths have gone through the impactful training at LGNA Academy.
“Its the exhibition of commitment, passion and the believe that we have that you guys here will turn things around in Nigeria in the future.”
The facilitators and topic delivered include, Business Director LGNA International, Mrs. Yetunde Jakande who spoke , Permanent Board Member of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Honourable Bayo Adefuye, Director of Procurement Nigeria Railway Corporation represented by Iris Akande, and Former Assistant Director of Network News of Nigeria Television Authority, Olufunke Kofoworola Oga Among others.
Yetunde sensitizes the youths on the frustration and benefits of traveling abroad among others.
She urged the youths to make the necessary research and get equipped with the right information before embarking oversea travel and avoid word of mouth that may mislead them
She further implored Youths to be good at what they are doing as a prerequisite to achieve their ultimate goal. She emphasised medicine, nurses and health service among others are the thriving profession.
Mrs. Oga who spoke on values for leadership while speaking to the media said Without value nothing good can come from an individual.
She noted that having a self believe will take one to places.” Have a Value about integrity, honesty, humility, and you should be willing to keep up to them it will take you to places.”
She described the moral values of the past compared to digital system as two poles apart. Digital system embraces and exposed a lot of abnormalities that exposed children’s to negativity even though it was invented for good things.
“With the digital era you can connect to the whole world within twinkling of an eye to get what you want unfortunately it’s been used negatively in some climes.”
As a Nigerian Mother she advised the youths to be focus in whatever they are doing. She further urged the Youths never to be in a rush to get quick rich. “As a mother I will advice our youths to calm down be focus and moderate in whatever they’re doing.”
