Lagos councillor organizes free medical outreach for Ikosi Oke Kosofe Community

Hundreds of residents of Ikosi Oke Kosofe area of Lagos recently received free health screening, sponsored by the councillor in charge of Ward C, Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, Hon. Oshinowo Adedeji, Lagos State office of sustainable development goals and Pro- Health Community Physiotherapy.

The partners, in conjunction with the councillor, decided to organize a free medical check-up based on the failing health of many residents.

The event was aimed at bringing hospital and health care facilities closer to the people. The outreach catered for free medical advice, check-up, treatment among others for members of Ikosi Oke community.

Speaking on what informed his health care gesture, Honourable Oshinowo Adedeji said he was giving back to his community who stood by him during the last Local Government Election.

“I am in a community where I know people loves me, I am loved by the children, I am loved by youths, and I am loved by the old people every one of them came out to vote for me, I don’t have any choice than to give back to them. “

He noted further that he has given to the pupils in primary school, noting he was motivated to give back to the ages.

He added ages from 55 years above benefited from the free health talk, Blood pressure, diabetes, rheumatism test among others.

When asked about his Yuletide plans for his community he said, “I have another plan for the party members that are from my ward, My Community, people around me and every corner of my ward I have plans to give back to them come December.”
