Revalidate Your PVC, Take CVR as serious Business- Lagos APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi pleads

The Chairman, Lagos State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Mr. Cornelius Ojelabi has urged Lagosians to revalidate their permanent voters card and take the issue of continuous voters registration as a serious business.

The chairman announced this, while addressing the Mammoth crowd at Honourable Rotimi Agunsoye recently empowerment programme held at CMD Magodo Kosofe.

“We are going into an election period, you will see them jumping from one political party to another. You will see them making promises that they’re not ready to fulfilled, You will see them gavarnising we know them. This is Lagos State, we have been in power as far back as 1999 and we have been doing tremendously well for the development of Lagos State. We know ourselves and we know them, We know where they are coming from, We don’t want to join the bad wagon.”

He pleads to members to continue to fight for the growth of the party they collectively built over the last 22 years.

Ojelabi laments voters apathy during general elections despite having millions of registered party members.

He charged the lawmaker to screen the 400 beneficiaries and ensure that they have voters card. He added,” It will get to a point before you benefit one thing or the other from our own Government you must produce a voters card.”

“In a situation, we have 2 Million APC membership, and we now go into an election will find it extremely difficult to record even for the membership alone, let us say it’s 2 Million votes.”

He Implored the guests and particularly the beneficiaries from APC led government to be awake to their civil responsibility.

He sensitized the gathering on the ongoing continous voters registration and further enlightened the Electorates on need to revalidate their PVC.

“The PVC is our power, we all want Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and we Know when Baba becomes the President of Nigeria people’s lives will be better.”

He urged those who have the PVC card already and those who are yet to get to visit INEC to revalidate their card to ascertain whether the information it contained is accurate or not to avoid been dissapointed at the polling station in 2023.

He further noted several neighbours, friends and youths among others do not have voters card and only criticize public Office holders and Councilors. However, failed to participate to determine who represent their interest but focus on criticizing.

He congratulated all the beneficiaries of Rotimi Agunsoye 40Milion empowment programme and urged them to use the money judiciously on their trade.

Cornelius thanked the lawmaker for his various lives impacting empowment training and programmes and quality representation among others.
